Though it is hard to tell whether this cable is fake or an OEM,
its performance and looks makes it one.

I didn't want to pay a lot of money to buy OEM cable from apple's store so I looked long and hard for a GOOD alternative on Amazon.
This was the closest to the OEM I could find.
It was cheap so I thought I might as well take a risk and buy it.
I do not regret this decision at all.
It IS an OEM.

(PS. I bought the cable from the seller: OEM Shop.
Apparently, the seller changed so I am not sure if it'll be the same cable.
If the seller is from OEM Shop,

Although the description states that it will work with Iphone it actually does not. This is just 1 out of 3 other occasions that products are mislabeled on Amazon. To top it off the product was so cheap that returning it is hardly even worth it, especially if I end up having to front the shipping costs which would be more than the cable is worth.

This product is what it advertises. I bought it to replace my missing ipod USB cable and this is the exact same thing but cheaper than what it costs from apple!
