First- I'm using this in the kitchen as an AM/FM radio as much as a charger/player of music for iphone (so I can't speak to its value as an alarm clock), and I've had it for about a month now, using it daily. It replaced an older high quality radio with the bonus of being an accessory for the phone.

I think it is just about perfect. Important to me is radio reception and Sony quality and AM & FM antenna ensure it is great (check my other reviews- they're largely for radios). I listen to a mix of NPR (radio but also streaming and podcasts off iphone) and music and sound is perfectly good/loud enough for kitchen & adjacent dining room. Love how the remote integrates with iphone controls. Tiny footprint takes up little space on counter. Big display of time with dimming options make it visible from a distance and can serve as a nightlight if you'd like.

Cons: echoing others, the slide-out charging tray is slick but seems a bit flimsy. The remote isn't fully functional unless iphone is in ipod mode (unless I'm missing something). A few of the controls (like presets) are on the back, out of site. This probably works well for bedside alarm clock but not for kitchen counter. It is a bit pricy but you get what you pay for. The external AM & FM antenna are great but make for a cord mess.

  • This is a great alarm clock! Easy to use, you can go forward and backward when setting the time and alarms (so if you miss the time you wanted you don't have to go all the way back around!) and you can set multiple alarms, each having a different setting between iPod, radio & buzzer. The only MINOR flaw is that when you set the alarm it doesn't automatically turn it on for you - you have to remember to turn the alarm on separately. Not a HUGE deal or anything but good to know...

  • I own both iPod and iPhone. I thought this

would be a perfect way to juice my iPhone and

have a clock/alarm. The shell is cheap thin plastc. The

    connector to charge the iPhone

does not go in easily. You have to play with the

you push your device onto the connector.

I would of not bought this item if I knew. How cheaply

it was made. Probably cost $5 to produce.

I would not recommend. Wait for a better quality

    product.

  • This product works great with an iphone - no interference at all. The sound quality is not great, but it's acceptable for listening to soft iphone music in the bedroom. We use it in our toddler's room, and he loves it.
