  • Unlike others, Amazon was able to deliver my mi-fi. I already have Verizon broadband service, if that matters. I don't know. But the thing works GREAT!!! As good or better than my modem, with multiple connectivity. 1 star was an oops, I give it 5 stars!!!

  • Pay per megabyte and gigabyte per month. Try Again Verizon

    What ???????????????

$39.99 monthly access for 250 MB monthly allowance and 10 cents per megabyte overage

$59.99 monthly access with a 5 GB monthly allowance and 5 cents per megabyte overage

    I do not think so...

The only way I would ever use this is if it was unlimited personal use $39.99 and Business use for $59.99. With all the ways we can get internet this is not an efficient or effective way of reaching out to the internet.

  • First of all the stupid tv commercial I saw for this thing is a total lie... it works good when in a coffee shop or something .. but in a moving vehicle ... it loses connection constantly .... large files will be disconnected and streaming video totally sucks.

Secondly ...the billing is totally f'd up!

Why do you think they give you a free modem for a 2 year contract?

So they can screw you and keep you trapped into it for 2 years ... hardly using the device.

$40 buys 250 megabytes with a charge of 10 cents per megabyte over that allotment; and $60 buys five gigabytes with a five-cent charge per megabyte of overage.

What this means is that you end up spending about $100 per month if you use the device an average amount of time (1 gig)

If you were using it a lot ... you will spend about $150-200 per month ....

I am freakin pissed and trapped into this damn 2 year contract.

I wish I would have done more research and looked at other products....

The router from Autonet mobile is a LOT cheaper when you do the math and from what I hear it actually is BUILT for the car and works great while moving.

The device is cool and small and that's about it .. unless you are rich ...or don't care about using it in the car... look at other options.

  • I can't review the actual device, since Amazon won't let me purchase it. At the end of the credit check process I get the message:

    -------------------------------

    Important Message

Your billing address must be in the same geographic area where you activate your phone.

Your billing address is what you entered on this page; your geographic area was determined based on the zip code you entered when selecting your phone and rate plan. If that zip code is not in the same geographic area as your billing zip code, please go back and select a phone and plan using your billing zip code or another zip code in the same geographic area as your billing zip code.

    ------------------------------

Of course not only is the billing address in the same geographic area where I would activate the device, but the billing ZIP code is EXACTLY the same as the ZIP code I used when selecting the device and rate plan. Stupid system. So much for saving $100 by purchasing this through Amazon.

  • Very disapointed with this device. It is SUPER slow, when more than one user is on it. Also, a huge downfall is that it requires software on all laptops.

Just returned it and got the Sprint MIFI. MUCH faster, and no software needed!! Also include GPS.

Get the Sprint one, this Verizon one is worthless!
