Great phone ---Easy to learn, easy to use. The touch screen is logical and is easy to navigate without ever referring to the manual. I just wish I bought it thru Amazon and not VZW website. I would have saved $$$. One drawback: It does not seem to be compatible with my Mac. I cannot download songs from my iTunes to the phone. But I have my iPod for music, and didn't really need the phone to play music.

This is marketed "LG Chocolate Touch", but not the ultra wide screen LG Chocolate (BL40?)that's marketed in Europe and Asia. I guess Verizon determined us Americans are too cheap to shell out $300+ for a phone, even with carrier's subsidy. The phone has a resistive touchscreen, therefore, no multi-touch (e.g. no zoom in/out in photo mode). The advantage of resistive touchscreen is it works witha stylus, or glove, and is less prone to accidental touches, but people who are spoiled by the iphone's feather touch will find the touchscreen to be a bit sluggish.

The call quality is decent. The built-in speaker is also quite capable. The FM radio is particularly useful and well designed. of course, being Chocolate, music is a key selling point, but don't expect it to replace your ipod.

overall, I'm neither disappointed nor impressed. If you just want a feature phone with a decent large screen, but no data plan, then this is good for you. Otherwise, I'd recommend either iPhone or one of those HTC-made Google phones.

The display cracked after owning this phone for less then a day. I had the phone in my pocket and when I pulled it out I found the crack. I had a couple of coins in my pocket for part of the day. The phone company said the coins probably caused the crack...and cracks aren't covered by the warranty. Anyway be very careful with this phone and/or make sure you have the insurance.

I've had this phone for almost a week and tomorrow it's going back. The biggest problem is that the battery covers provided with my phone were not a perfect fit. I couldn't get either one of them on and took it back to the store for an exchange. They took out another new phone and had the same problem with it, they said it was a design flaw. The cover stays on but it's hard to take off and put back on and there is a gap between the battery cover and the phone running the length of the phone on one side. Other more minor annoyances: once the phone notifies you that the batter is low you have about 10 minutes of non-talk time before it dies on you, you can lock the phone to prevent your cheek from accidentally hanging up but if you bring the phone down to check the time (or something) it automatically unlocks again making it easy to hang up on someone, the camera is great but you can't rotate pictures. Other than that I really liked the phone and the fact that I wasn't forced to buy a data plan with it, too bad about the battery cover.

This phone would be great except it isn't sturdy enough to do the job it was designed for. We had one for exactly a week and a half before the screen cracked while it was sitting on the counter with no one around. We have no idea how it happened, and the phone definitely was NOT dropped. There's not a single mark on it. The screen is not fixable, and the phone is useless without it. Verizon refuses to stand behind the phone, saying a broken screen is not a manufacturer's defect. This phone isn't sturdy at all and the people at Verizon were extremely rude about the whole thing. Stay away from the phone and the company!!!
