The hands free functionality “feature” does not work with the iphone 3G. Using the cable, I can not hear the caller through my speakers at all. When a call is answered, the ipod function stops and static comes out of the car speakers. I actually have to then turn the radio off, hit the speaker button on my iphone to hear the caller.
The sound quality of this device coming through the speakers when my iphone 3G is using the ipod function is exceptional.
It charges the device. I also love the on/off function that I did not find on my previous device.
I am frustrated that less than a month after I ordered the device at $59.99 it is now down to $49.99 and it just came out.
At this point I am getting about half of the functionality that I thought I was purchasing.

I first bought the previous version of this Flexpod which had excellent sound, but had a few minor problems. When I told Accessory Genie about this they were very helpful and offered me their new improved version for a minimal charge. This new one is excellent and addresses pretty much all the flaws of the old one. I get great clear sound and never have to change the station even in hilly San Diego. The controls are much easier to use while driving and the new scan feature is a big plus. I have had only one minor problem. My power outlet is a very tight fit and if you repeatedly take the Flexpod out of the socket like I do to prevent theft, the twisting motion can cause the end of the Flexpod to unscrew . This caused the plastic washer, fuse, etc. to end up inside my power outlet. It was easy enough to retrieve and put back together though. Now I just make sure the end piece is screwed on tight after I remove the device. All in all I think this is a great product !

I purchased this for myself and I love it! I use this mainly for my music on my iphone. I was tired of burning CD’s. This allows me to listen to my music through the car speakers. Its very easy to find a station to “hook” up to. The other plus is your phone charges at the same time. The only thing that I really have to figure out is how to make it stay still (standing straight up) when I make turns. It has a phone feature to that works pretty well too. I don’t use that much b/c my car is bluetooth enabled. Its a great product that actually works and easy to use!!!

I’ve read the instructions over and over again. I put the product together with no problem. When I hit the “On” button, the blue light goes on just fine. When I scan for clear stations, it finds a clear station. But it doesn’t transmit to my FM radio. And it doesn’t charge. So it does everything, but work. I’m returning it.
