How to celebrate a “green” Christmas?
Hey you! Any plans for making this Christmas an environment friendly one? Check out these tips for an “organic” Xmas. Lets go “green”.

Gifts
- Organic Cosmetics(to avoid allergies and certain chemicals, such as parabens, triclosan).
- Clothes made of organic material.
- Electronic equipment and toys without certain chemicals, such as bromine, phthalates; when needed, prefer rechargeable batteries.
- Organic wrapping paper made of recycled material.

- Decorations from nature instead of tinsel.
- Organically grown Christmas Tree; avoid silver or gold sprays and those with artificial snow.
- Stearin candles; be aware of soot, which strains indoor climate; avoid candles with scent and those made of jelly.

Food
- Buy organic Chocolate, fruit, vegetables, wine, champagne. Become a vegan!
- Try organic recipes.
Last but not the least, i want to convey is spread the word. Create awareness how important being green is atleast in your neighborhood. Realize the resolution of saving mother nature.
And finally, after enjoying all the Christmas food, donate the leftovers to orphanages and destitute organizations. Exercise outdoors, enjoy nature and wildlife.

Interesting post. You forgot to mention that if you want to have a really GREEN Christmas that you shouldn’t celebrate it at all. Authentic Christmas trees, decorative lights, travels to meet family, wrapping paper, tons of food/meat…all are a drag on the environment. Next time at least suggest recycling wrapping paper, using a “fake” tree, not hanging lights or getting the more efficient led lights, carpooling or planning visits where families don’t have to travel from one side of town (or the country) to another. Just my two pennies.

A green Christmas is a cool idea. Though we can different understanding about green.
For me, A bicycle tour to countryside maybe a good choice, Because here is warm enough even in December.
Without Christmas trees, without cars, that’s a little green too!
